As of now, I am 18, and healthy. I don’t know what I should write in my first newsletter. It’s not like I haven’t sent any newsletters, I did in 2020 sending 340+ developers a weekly digest, that’s different know?
So, let’s begin.
I am Rahul. I am 18. On the internet, I call myself a hustler and sometimes feel weird as ‘hustler‘ is a term that you don’t give yourself it is or it should be given by someone else. We’ll discuss hustle as a whole, in my coming newsletter soon.
My Intro
My name is Rahul. I am based in Pune, India. I am currently building myself, so I can provide value on the Internet(and make money, yes).
Little Background
I am 18, learned commerce in high school, and now learning to code.
The laptop and internet have been game changers for me, I was privileged to get access to a laptop and internet in my 3rd class, and I didn’t do anything cool though like hacking, or cracking at that age, not smart enough hehe. From that young age, explored and learned many things that I still know, one of the websites I mostly used to visit is Nasa’s Image section, this was/is so cool, trust me. I was very much curious at that time. I used that laptop till my 10th class,
I was never into studies and never got good grades. So don’t think you’re reading this dumb guy’s newsletter.
What this newsletter is about?
This newsletter is about my perspective and my thinking. I will talk/share my views on multiple topics in this newsletter, there are high chances that you’ll agree with me on some points and disagree, and you’ll also find it relatable. Starting this newsletter because I want to connect with like-minded people.
You’ll be saying that “everyone says this, then they share blogs/newsletters on trendy topics and show ads make money“, but trust me for me this newsletter will be a medium to share my thinking. I am looking for a place where I can free my mind and this is the correct place, to start a newsletter.
Why not blog? There are multiple reasons for it. See for me, If I start a blog, buy a domain, code a website, and then write stuff online, I will 24/7 will look at the performance stats like how it is performing on the web, are people looking at it? how to make money out of it and stuff like that.
So in this case, I don’t want it to be like that, I don’t care how it goes, whether are people looking at it or not, so the newsletter is the perfect place to write for me.
Everything will be raw, if you find grammatical errors, spelling mistakes, or bad English, I am sorry for that, I will try to write my best.
My Writing / Earning
I don’t know why but I like to type a lot that’s directly connected to writing lol. So I like to write a lot. I started writing back in 2020 on development-related topics, managed my personal blogs and client’s blog and they generated over 800K+ readership in some months, how come this much? People get convinced by numbers fast, so listicles were the main reason for this, Example- Ultimate Resources for Front-End Development in 2021
I left this writing journey after writing 300+ Blog Posts, as I started focusing on making money, forgot my personal dev blog that helped me get here, I feel bad for this still. When I used to blog daily, people used to talk on Twitter, and I would get lovely comments and good hate, and that stopped over time.
If not blogging then what I did for this time? My blogs were performing so well that many SEO Marketer of SaaS brands would reach out and ask for backlinks, I didn’t know how backlinks worked at that time, but for my first backlink Insertion I made $35, which was/is a lot for me, first money from a low performing blog, and this increased over time, and I was happy, one month for the same article selling 14-16 backlink insertion without reaching out to anyone.
I thought going on a little large scale and selling backlinks from multiple high DA domains, yes this time I would reach out to companies and they rejected me multiple times. But then I focused on targeting people who actually need backlinks, for example - some tools that people mostly use, like background remover, pdf converter, and image converter. And got a good response.
I made $14,000 selling backlinks. This number is approximated I am sure I made above this, $14,000 in the hand of 18 year old is like you own the world now, for me it was/is the same feeling. I invested most of the money and wasted it also.
This was as of today, I am still backlinks and writing a daily blog related to dev related at https://rahul.biz. This blog is mostly focused on people who are starting to learn to code from scratch. I started this because I want to continue from zero once again.
This is the best thing about starting early that you can validate and if you fail you can start again with something.
What are you doing right now?

Writing a—Development Blog, this newsletter and at many places
This may sound simple, but for me, it’s hard and gets me busy all day.
I think this is everything, I can share. Hit me a Twitter DM, if you need help.
Sometimes I go out of topic whenever I am explaining something that has many subtopics, so sorry for this, this is out of topic newsletter cum blog. This journey will be fun. Thanks for Reading.
